You are invited to our Eat Smart Move More York County general membership (virtual) meeting on Tuesday, December 8, at noon! We will welcome special guest speakers who will discuss FOODSHARE Lancaster and the process of becoming a FOODSHARE SC Hub, which our community partner, Impact York County is pursuing.

  • Bekah Clausen, Executive Director, HOPE Lancaster County
  • Irini Guda McCarthy, Project Director, Care Transitions
  • Courtney Watson, Community Outreach Coordinator, FoodShare SC

Learn about FOODSHARE Lancaster and the process of HOPE becoming a FOODSHARE Hub. “FOODSHARE aims to empower individuals and families to adopt a more nutritious diet as part of a healthy lifestyle through food box participation and teaching kitchen cooking classes. We believe access to fresh, affordable food should not be limited by where you live or how much you make. FOODSHARE offers a pre-paid box of first-rate, fresh produce once a month to the community, year-round. Boxes are $15.00 cash/check or $16 online. Each box contains 12-15 farm-fresh fruits and vegetables along with a recipe insert chock full of ideas on how to clean, cut, and prepare the produce contents. HOPE is offering a way for the community to impact an individual or family by purchasing an Angel Box. By purchasing an Angel Box, you’re helping Lancaster County residents in need eliminate food insecurity and learn the necessary skills for healthier lives.”
