Inspiring Wellness is a low country community health initiative that consists of 8 seminars on the psychology of wellness and healthy lifestyle change, nutrition and exercise. The program is designed by lifestyle expert psychologist Dr. Howard Rankin and organized by the health ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head. It is supported by the wellness team from Hilton Head Regional healthcare who will run a concurrent youth program. Program runs from January 1420- March 17 and kicks off with a showing of the award winning Million Calorie March movie featuring fat-fighting crusader Gary Marino who is also a program presenter.

The SilverSneakers Fitness Program is a comprehensive older adult fitness program that addresses the needs of the Medicare (65+) population. SilverSneakers members receive a free basic membership to participating fitness centers and YMCA’s along with the opportunity to participate in SilverSneakers group exercise classes.

The SC DHEC Diabetes 101 presentation as designed to create a uniformed diabetes awareness education tool to be used in the community. It is a 1.5 to 2 hour community presentation, designed to target the general adult population, which includes:
Information included in the presentation is based on the American Diabetes Association (ADA) clinical recommendations and the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) 7 Self- Care Professional Resource. Participants with Type 2 diabetes are encouraged to attend Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) programs for information and assistance with self-management skills.

The LifeFit Wellness Services (LWS) are a part of Beaufort Memorial Hospital, the largest not-for-profit hospital between Charleston and Savannah. Our LWS offers:
Staff include: Health Educators, Nurses, Physicians, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Respiratory Therapists, and other consulting staff.
LifeFit Community Health provides outreach services to the community though the following programs:
LifeFit Community Health also participates in many countywide human service campaigns to address issues such as prenatal care, cessation of tobacco use, adolescent health issues, obesity, and chronic disease.
We are also involved in annual community events such as the American Heart Association Low Country Heart Walk, The March of Dimes Walk for Babies and the ACS Relay for Life.
LifeFit normally served about 20,000 residents each year through their programs and services.
