Play Safe! Be Safe!
April 24 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
On Monday, April 24, EdVenture will team with the Office of State Fire Marshal’s Community Risk Reduction Team to offer a program that will bring together fire and life safety educators with members of the Early Childhood Education community. Age appropriate fire and life safety education is an effective way to increase the safety of school-aged children.
During this session attendees will participate in the “play safe! be safe!” ® program from Bic Corporation. Each attendee will be certified to teach the “play safe! be safe!” ® program and will receive multiple “play safe!” kits for distribution to their students. Additionally, fire educators will collaborate in work group sessions with early childhood educators to brainstorm solutions to address fire risks impacting young children. This training session is set to coincide with the “Week of the Young Child”.
The session will begin at 10:00 sharp in the museum’s Canal and conclude before 4:00. This is a free opportunity to early childhood educators. To register, please email Dakota DeLuca (firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 14, letting us know that you’d like to be included in this joint-partnership training, and she will register you for the event. Seating is limited.
