Legislators in the Senate and House are currently negotiating longer-term extensions to the payroll tax, federal unemployment benefits, and Medicare reimbursement for physicians (the “doc fix”). As negotiators continue to search for funds to offset these extensions, we must ensure that the Prevention and Public Health Fund remains intact.
We only have until February 17 to let our legislators know that the Prevention Fund should not be used as an offset. Please sign on now to our letter urging conferees to protect the Fund and consider sending your own. We need to send a unified message of support to keep the entire Fund intact, and protect emerging and innovative prevention efforts happening right now across the country.
