Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference Coming to SC

The American Journal of Health Promotion is hosting their 23rd Annual Art & Science of Health Promotion Conference on Hilton Head Island, SC. The conference will take place at the Westin Hilton Head Island. The theme for the conference is “Producing the Best Health and Financial Outcomes by Using the Most Effective Health Promotion Strategies”. This 5-day conference will begin March 18th with a pre-conference intensive training seminar. The 3-day core conference will begin March 20th and will include:

  • three keynote speakers
  • 48 concurrent sessions from top scientists and practitioners
  • poster presentations from public health groups around the country
  • a vendor show showcasing resources which will help organizations reach wellness goals

The keynote speakers for the 3-day core conference include:

  • Kelly D. Brownwell, PhD | Yale University
  • Richard J. Jackson, MD, MPH | UCLA
  • Michael F. Roizen, MD | Cleveland Clinic

The 3-day core conference concurrent sessions are organized into tracks. These suggested tracks are designed to help attendees focus on a specific area of health promotion throughout the conference. These trackes include culture change, strategies, jobs & deficit, skill building, emerging perspectives, business develeopment, financial analysis, and counter perspectives. Attendees do not have to commit to one specific track, these are simply suggestions to help guide their attention over the 3 days in Hilton Head.
